your hands are shaking cold your hands are mine to hold Once again she found herself needing to stay away from the bunkers, her own and the medical ones that housed her sister and soldiers. She herself had a minor cut on her wrist from a loose wire in her notebook, but she had discharged herself as soon as they were finished wrapping it in the white bandage she was now wearing. It wasn't that bad of a cut, and besides, it wasn't like Leigh was going anywhere. She'd been underground for quite a while, making sure none of her soldiers went back into battle before they were supposed to, getting new recruits freshly finished with their training and occasionally offering a hand to the guards when she needed something to do. All of the heads knew her very well, including any trainers and trainees and healers. As the fiercest fighter, she got hurt quite often and was regularly seen in the medical bunkers - though her injuries were minor more recently and mostly she was watching after a few younger soldiers. Still, she was extremely concerned about Katarina at the moment, and extremely mad at herself for not having been by her sister's side when she had gotten hurt. Kat may have been healing, and Mickey had gone back to battle, but Leigh couldn't help it. She and her siblings were separated, and that rarely happened, even if Leigh could go to Kat at any given time. She hated it, and she hated having not been there fighting with them.
Leigh sighed, knowing that she needed to really stop dwelling on it and worry about something else, or even just relax for a few seconds. She needed to clear her head again, it never seemed to stay that way for long regardless. She was straying as far away from the medical bunkers as possible, to avoid wishing she could heal her sister quickly and easily. It was wishful thinking and besides, only angels and demons (unfortunately) had powers of any kind. The reason Leighton even knew any of that was because she frequently made trips to the research labs in her spare time, which she had accumulated quite a lot of very recently. Eventually she was leaving a head soldier or deputy soldier orders to watch things underground and she would go fight herself, but until Katarina was fully healed, that wasn't happening. She had been debating it for a while, but then her sister had gotten injured and she'd come up with that plan, and she was sticking to it. Even now she was heading towards headquarters, which was where the research labs were located, but they weren't her destination. This time she was heading to the training facilities to watch the trainees. It was her best way to pick out the best new recruits when they came to her to sign up as a soldier. She made frequent visits to the training facilities as well.
Leighton's walk became brisk as her need to watch a few trainees learn how to fight became greater. It was one of her ways to simply relax when she had too much time on her hands, like she currently did, and besides - it was something to do, something to keep her mind of Katarina and Michael and her wounded or almost healed soldiers. She let out a low groan as something else occurred to her, and only then did she realize she was no longer alone as she turned the corner. Still, from the back, she couldn't recognize the person, so she didn't say anything, she simply kept walking. It wasn't like it really mattered, unless it was Katarina - who she would have recognized immediately - or a soldier that should have been in the medical bunkers, and she doubted that that was the case.

"the next one of you who comes at me with the same movement, is going to get more than just a flip over my leg. do you here me?!" it was hard to believe that someone as small as mina, could achieve a bellow, but she could. her blue eyes blazed with irritation as she looked a the trainees in front of them. the cockiness had vanished from all their eyes, and she could see a mix of awe and terror in their eyes now. she grinned maliciously, indicating with her fingers for someone to come after her again. she looked over them, laughing as no one came at her. she knew she terrified them, but that was the point. she could be calm and cool when she was out of the training area, but when she was here, she didn't want her trainees getting away with anything. being an untouchable, meant that her reflexes and fighting abilities were natural and not the product of years of work. given, living on the streets of las vegas gave her an edge to work, the edge that came from learning street fighting. as she rotated to look at the trainees around her, she suddenly heard the familiar sound of someone approaching her from behind her. she knew what the trainee was about to try, and so she ducked, using her bank to catch the male, twisting his arm so she could lever it until he flipped through the air, somersaulting until he hit the ground, his spine cracking as he did so. she could see the pain on his face, and her eyes burned with a lot of irritation. "what the fuck did i just tell you?! you're gonna get your ass kicked by a minor demon or angel at this rate. you make too much fucking noise, and you're predictable. change it up!" she glared around her, her eyes daring any one person to challenge her. finally she gave up, throwing her hands into the air and scowling. "i give up. all of you are dismissed for the day. remember, all of you have your regular duties, and just because you're hurting, doesn't mean you can't do your jobs." she sent a glare in the direction of the boy on the floor, finally reaching out to give him a hand up. she sighed, pulling him up. she had to look up to look into his eyes, but her expression was calm now. "go see the healers, they'll give you something for your pain." she could see the fear going from his eyes as she spoke calmly and clearly, and she knew it'd be alright.
once the trainees had filed out, she sat on the ground, rubbing her eyes tiredly. she wasn't sure where joyce was, and she was beginning to worry. she hadn't seen him all day. she knew he had to be somewhere in the underground tunnels but she didn't like spending time without him. he was her other half, in the most absolute way possible. if he'd been here, there wouldn't have been yelling - just lots of sarcastic remarks to the trainees. joyce kept her calm, and reminded her that even if she was getting frustrated, anger got her nowhere. luckily, she cooled down pretty quickly, so she never scared her trainees enough to send them running for more than a few hours at maximum. it was exhausting, more often than it wasn't, but running the underground was the most productive thing mina had done in a long time. she liked being productive, and now that she was down to only one person who mattered to her, she needed something to throw herself into if that person went away. just the thought of it made her shudder, and she jumped up onto her feet, walking over to where she'd left her jacket on the floor. she tightened her ponytail and wiped the sweat away from her forehead, grabbing her jacket on the way out. she needed something to eat, and she needed to find joyce. she was feeling miserable, and he was the single person who could make her feel better at any given moment. she walked down the tunnels, slipping her jacket onto her shoulders so that she didn't have to carry it. she stopped when she passed the kitchen, charming some extra food out of whoever was on chef duty for the day. it was her regulations that limited what people could snack on, but she was constantly working and never had the necessary energy to go at the pace she did. she wandered back down the tunnel to her room, smiling as she saw her boyfriend passed out on the bed. she laid down next to him, wrapping her arms around him and smiling, "hi baby. i missed you today when i was working the trainees." he mumbled something incoherent and she laughed, kissing him before responding, "go back to sleep. i'll be back later. i'll be sure to tell you about the failure that was training exercises today."
she turned and left her room again, a smile on her lips now that she'd seen her boyfriend happy and in good health. it helped that she'd managed to snag a kiss from him before she had to disappear. almost all contact with her boyfriend was a catalyst for the change in her attitude. she walked back down the hall, her back straight and her eyes set in front. she needed to head back to the training headquarters to talk to the head trainers about getting their trainees to think out of the box. too many of them were narrow minded when it came to things like battle tactics. there was no way she'd let them go out and get their asses kicked, simply because she hadn't thought to keep them open minded. her mind was whirring full of possibilities as she walked through the corridors. she didn't even think about where she was going, because her feet seemed to know the way on their own. she'd absentmindedly count the steps between one hallway to the next, and then when to turn and stop. she liked that she didn't have to think too much about where she was going - it left her mind friend to do other things. she was always thinking, always trying to get something done. there was far too much to do, and far too little time to get it done in the world. finally she was back in the training yard, and she dropped her jacket on the floor, taking a few moments to stretch her tight muscles. she pulled her arms behind her back, leaning forward to pop her shoulders, sighing happily as the tension dissipated from her shoulders. she smiled slightly, standing back upright in her whole five foot eight stance. she wasn't very large, nor was she was big, but when she put a little fire behind her kick, she could send people flying. the thought of it made her laugh slightly and she walked across the room to talk to one of the other trainers. she talked easily before walking back into the center of the room, easily slipping into a fighting stance, taking out her frustration with one of the others. she moved easily, sliding away from punches, dodging and putting hits in all the right places until she flipped the boy to the ground, pinning his throat with her foot. she laughed and helped him up, hearing someone behind her. looking around she saw leighton, smiling, "well, look who's out of the medical bunker."
the post information, it's finished! it's an one thousand two hundred fifty nine words! it's tagged for leighton lock! she's wearing jeans, boots and a tshirt! and i think that mina is in a bad mood today. so watch out everybody, ahaha![/SUP]
